faq • testimonials • sign up for lessons As a parent, do I need to sit in the lessons? Parents always have the option of joining us for lessons. Some parents like to sit in regularly, but most prefer to drop off their student each week. We encourage parents to be present in lessons if the student is under seven years old, or if the student has behavioral challenges. A feature of Suzuki lessons is parent involvement; so if you choose this method, plan on joining us each week! What should I bring to the first lesson? Bring a notebook where your teacher will write assignments and occasional messages home. If you have taken lessons in the past, bring any music you have used before as well as any music you may be interested in learning. This helps your teacher assess what you already know and will help establish goals from the start. Additionally, please bring a check for the first month’s payment. |
